Blastvalve Ballooning Search Engine

Blastvalve Contributors

A number of people have come together to make Blastvalve a success
and they are acknowledged here.

Christian Langley has found and indexed most of the sites
for balloon festivals, balloon rides, and model balloons. His
late night entries and willingness to struggle with foreign
languages are much appreciated.

Marci Collier, talented Texas balloon crew, was the first one
to help me track down useful sites not found elsewhere. She's
the only woman ever to tell me that playing with spiders is fun.

Blastvalve is hosted on Linux Apache servers.

Blastvalve is the idea of Rick Jones, who wanted an
easier way to find information useful to balloonists
without needing to sort through so much clutter.
Rick is a pilot from Concord, New Hampshire.

Lise Boisvert fearlessly tracked down lots
of shopping sites, especially balloon jewelry
and other merchandise. The newer balloon
festivals are her work as well. The best crew
she proves that only the good die young.

The scripts powering the ballooning search engine are
written in the PERL programming language and pages
were assembled using Dreamweaver website software.

The programming for Balloon Pilot Weather was
developed by John Jones. A talented programmer
with an easy grasp of databases, even the National
Weather Service's convoluted file system was no
match for him.

Questions and Comments should be addressed to Rick Jones.
